Dal Bath is the most popular dish in Nepal. It is served 2 times a day – in the morning and in the evening.
According to the motto “Dal Bhat Power – 24 hour” this typical dish brings a lot of energy for the Nepali people for the whole day.
Dal is a soup made of lentil and spices. Bhat is the Nepali name for rice. Dal is served over boiled rice together with some other ingredients like: vegetable or meat curry and an extreme spice chutney or pickle.
Sometimes Dal Bath is served also with a sliced lemon, green chill and yogurt.
If you would like to learn how to cook typical Nepali Dal Bhat I can organize a cooking evening event in a traditional Nepali kitchen.
That will be tasty, or better said “Mitho chaa”!
