The trail starts in the village of Phedi, just a half an hour drive from Pokhara, and winds its way through lush forests and terraced rice fields before reaching the picturesque village of Dhampus.

    • Trek Description

The hike to Dhampus is relatively easy and can be completed in a single day, making it a great option for beginners or those with limited time. The trail is well-maintained and offers stunning views of the surrounding mountains, including the Annapurna South, Fishtail, and Hiunchuli peaks.

The Dhampus trail leads through lush forests and terraced fields, with plenty of opportunities to spot local wildlife such as monkeys, birds, and even the occasional leopard. As you make your way through the forest, you'll also pass by several small villages, where you can interact with the friendly locals and learn about their way of life.

Eventually, the trail reaches the village of Dhampus, a charming village located at the base of the Annapurna range. Here, you can take a break and enjoy a traditional Nepali meal at one of the local restaurants, or simply relax and soak up the peaceful atmosphere of the village.

After spending some time in Dhampus, the trail continues to the nearby village of Australian Camp, where you'll have the option to either return to Phedi or continue on to Sarangkot for even more stunning views of the Annapurna range.
